Houston Texans slump to 12th straight defeat

Texans slump to 12th straight defeat

The Houston Texans have fallen to their 12th consecutive defeat, losing 25-3 to AFC South rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, this evening.

Things started badly for the visitors as the Colts took the lead on the very first drive of the game, Griff Whalen collecting Andrew Luck's 14-yard pass in the endzone.

The Texans got themselves on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter when Randy Bullock kicked a 49-yard field goal, but Adam Vinatieri converted a 37-yard effort of his own at the start of the second to restore his side's seven-point lead.

The Colts then took complete control of the match as Luck threw a shovel pass to Trent Richardson, who made his way over the line to open up a 14-point gap between the two sides.

Vinatieri kept the scoreboard ticking over for the hosts with a couple of field goals either side of half time, the first coming at the end of the second quarter from 43 yards and the second coming at the start of the third from 40 yards.

The Colts then edged even further in front when Case Keenum was sacked in his own endzone, fumbling the ball and forcing Duane Brown to recover it for a safety.
