Ben Tate: 'Arian Foster getting frustrated'

Houston Texans running back Ben Tate admits that teammate Arian Foster is getting frustrated by a string of injuries.

Houston Texans running back Ben Tate has admitted that teammate Arian Foster is getting frustrated due to a string of injuries disrupting his pre-season preparations.

Foster was placed on the physically unable to perform list with a calf injury that he picked up during team activities, but he has since suffered soreness in his back and legs and remains on the PUP list.

The 26-year-old is now in a race to be fit for his side's season opener against the San Diego Chargers on September 9, and Tate is among those hoping that his return comes sooner rather than later.

"I think he's getting a little frustrated but I guess there's nothing you can do about it," the Houston Chronicle quotes Tate as saying.

"He's definitely ready to get back and I'm ready for him to get back, too. I think we're definitely a better team when both of us [are] on the field, clicking and working together.

"So, I'm ready for him to get back and I think he's ready to get back."

Meanwhile, Texans coach Gary Kubiak remains optimistic that Foster will be fit by the start of the regular season.
