Houston Texans wide receiver DeVier Posey says that the Achilles injury which he sustained at the end of last season has changed his life.

DeVier Posey has said that the Achilles injury that ended his first season in the NFL early has "changed his life".

The Houston Texans wide receiver initially had to use a wheelchair after tearing the tendon in last season's playoffs.

The 23-year-old told the team's website: "I dedicated everything to this injury and it's changed my life, really.

"As far as just being here for those four months while everyone else was away, vacationing. I was here in the training room and I couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel."

Head coach Gary Kubiak has indicated that Posey could be taken off the physically unable to perform list after this weekend's game against the Miami Dolphins.
