Bill O'Brien in "positive" talks with Andre Johnson

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien reveals that he has had "positive" talks with wide receiver Andre Johnson, who recently hinted that he could leave the franchise.

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien has revealed that he has had "very positive" talks with wide receiver Andre Johnson regarding the future of the team.

Johnson has been with the Texans since 2003 but recently admitted that he was considering leaving the franchise following another disappointing season in 2013.

O'Brien refused to condemn Johnson for his public comments and insists that the discussions he has had with the 32-year-old have been promising.

"I think I'll let Andre speak for himself. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Andre and his career here in Houston," O'Brien told reporters.

"The conversations that Andre and I have had have been very positive about what we're doing here as a team and obviously offensively, what we're doing here. As far as what Andre said, I'll let him speak for himself, I can only tell you from my end we've had good, positive communication.

"We're going to continue to communicate and we've had good discussions, we've had good talks. We've spoken quite a bit and will continue to do that."

Johnson is the Texans' franchise leader in receiving yards, catches and receiving touchdowns.
