Gary Kubiak "very concerned" about running backs

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak admits that he is very concerned by injuries to leading running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

Gary Kubiak has admitted that he is "very concerned" about the Houston Texans' running back situation.

Starter Arian Foster and backup Ben Tate both missed today's practice with respective hamstring and rib injuries.

When asked by reporters how worried he was by the absences, the head coach said: "On a scale of what? One to...? The highest number, whatever that is. I'm very concerned.

"We understand Ben's situation. I think they're both going to give us everything they can to try and play this week. I don't think we're going to know anything until later in the week, which is probably a good thing. I know it's a good thing we had the bye."

The AFC South side have activated Dennis Johnson, Deji Karim and Ray Graham from their practice squad.

The Texans face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
