Brian Cushing cleared to play against San Francisco 49ers

Brian Cushing has been cleared to play against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.

The Houston Texans linebacker was forced out of the AFC South side's game against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday with a concussion.

The 26-year-old told the team's official website: "There were some steps that I had to go through, but everything went real smooth.

"There were no setbacks or anything like that. Pretty much, the general consensus the whole time was that I would play."

Cushing has 33 tackles, 1.5 sacks and an interception so far this season.
