Half-Time Report: JJ Watt dominates as Houston Texans lead Cleveland Browns

Watt dominates as Texans lead

The Houston Texans scored in the final minute of the half to take a 14-7 lead into the break against the Cleveland Browns this evening.

The visitors took the lead midway through the opening quarter as JJ Watt's catch at the side of the endzone was held up on review for his fourth touchdown of the season, the highest tally from a defensive lineman since 1948.

Watt was dominant in defence as well, ending the first quarter with two tackles for a loss, a sack and a forced fumble to his name.

Joe Haden also came up with a big defensive play in the second quarter as he intercepted a pass for the first time this season to deny the Texans another touchdown.

The Browns struggled to create anything on third down, but did finally get on the scoreboard in the second quarter as Andrew Hawkins collected a pass from Brian Hoyer before racing in for a 32-yard touchdown.

Watt made another important contribution when he recovered a fumble to stop a Browns drive in the red zone, allowing his side to move downfield and take the lead through a 20-yard Garrett Graham score.
