Scott Tolzien takes blame for Green Bay Packers loss

Green Bay Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien accepts responsibility for his side's 27-13 loss to the New York Giants last night.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien has accepted the blame for his side's 27-13 defeat to the New York Giants yesterday.

The Packers trailed by just seven points in the fourth quarter when Tolzien threw an interception that was returned 24 yards for a touchdown by Jason Pierre-Paul, a score that effectively ended the match as a contest.

Tolzien admitted that the play was a "game-changer" and took full responsibility for gifting the Giants such an important score.

"That's on me giving their team a freebie. We had a chance at that point. That kills you. It was a game-changer. You see the arms up in the air and you can't throw it," Tolzien told The AP.

Tolzien, in for the injured Aaron Rodgers, threw three interceptions overall as the Packers fell to a third straight defeat - their worst run since 2008.
