Rodgers aims for eight more years in NFL

Aaron Rodgers has said that he would like to play in the NFL for at least another eight years.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback has two seasons left on his current deal with the NFC North champions.

The 29-year-old told the Green Bay Press-Gazette: "I've had eight great years there, the last five as a starter. Hopefully I can give them another eight-plus years of playing at a high level.

"I think the Packers would like me to be around for a few more years and I'd love to finish my career there."

Rodgers has led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory since joining the team, and was named NFL MVP last season.
