Report: Datone Jones suspension due to marijuana possession

Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones was reportedly suspended by the NFL for possession of marijuana.

Jones was handed a one-game ban for violating the league's substance abuse programme last week, but details of the case were not released.

However, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel claims that Jones was caught with eight grams of marijuana in a plastic bag following the team's loss to the Seattle Seahawks in January.

The 24-year-old will miss the Packers' game against the Chicago Bears in week one.
