Driver confirms retirement

Donald Driver has confirmed that he is retiring from playing in the NFL after 14 seasons in the league.

The Green Bay Packers wide receiver has announced that he will formally retire at an event at Lambeau Field next Wednesday.

The 37-year-old told the Packers' website: "I played my entire career in Green Bay and have always enjoyed a special bond with the fans.

"I can think of no better way to retire than to celebrate with them and the Packers organisation."

Driver is the Packers' all-time leader in receiving yards and reception, and was part of the side that won the Super Bowl in 2010 season.
