Brandon Bostick: 'Jermichael Finley will be back'

Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick is in no doubt that Jermichael Finley will continue to play football despite suffering a bruised spinal cord in his neck.

Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick has backed teammate Jermichael Finley to return from his spinal injury.

Finley suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck when he was hit by Tashaun Gipson during the Packers' 31-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, being treated for six minutes on the field before being taken off to an intensive care unit.

However, the tight end is reportedly recovering well in hospital and could be released as early as tomorrow, leaving Bostick in no doubt that he will return to action.

"You know Jermichael, he's a competitor; he definitely wants to play. I definitely think he'll be back as soon as he can," Bostick is quoted as saying by ESPN.

The Packers have a 4-2 record so far this season and will face the struggling Minnesota Vikings in their next match on Sunday.
