Half-Time Report: Green Bay Packers lose Aaron Rodgers, trail Chicaco Bears by seven

Packers lose Rodgers, trail Bears by seven

Aaron Rodgers has added to the Green Bay Packer' growing injury woes by limping out of their NFC North clash with the Chicaco Bears tonight, a game they trail 17-10 at the interval.

Rodgers was sacked by Shea McClellin just three minutes into the first quarter, leaving the field and being ruled out of the match with a shoulder sprain soon after.

Seneca Wallace came in to deputise at quarterback with the Packers 3-0 ahead, setting up an intriguing battle with his opposite number Josh McCown, who was starting his first match since 2011 for the Bears.

Soon after Rodgers had left the field Chicago took full advantage to score the first touchdown of the night, as McCown found Brandon Marshall under pressure with a fine pick into the endzone from 23 yards.

The Bears then forced Wallace to give up an interception but then had a punt charged down in a frenetic first quarter, leading to Green Bay responding in style as James Starks broke clear to score on a 32-yard burst.

Chicago recovered as McCown led the visitors towards goal with a sustained drive, finished off smartly as Matt Forte found space to restore their lead from close range.

Green Bay turned to running back Eddie Lacy for a response, but were left with a one-dimensional attack that allowed Chicago to head into the locker room with a seven-point lead.
