Rob Sims: 'I'd love to spend sixth year at Detroit Lions'

Guard Rob Sims admits that he would love to spend a sixth year at the Detroit Lions, with the team currently weighing up whether or not to sign him for another season.

Guard Rob Sims has insisted that he wants to spend a sixth year with the Detroit Lions.

The veteran has been noted for bringing some stability to the team's left guard spot, where Sims has started every game for the last five seasons.

"This is our home," said Sims, according to the team's official website. "My children were born here. Me and my wife have built our family here and bought businesses here.

"Detroit is never ever going to leave me. My heart and my charity work will always be here. But yeah, I would love to stay here, love to."

Sims has become an unrestricted free agent following the end of the season, with the Lions yet to announce publicly as to whether or not they will choose to pursue the guard for another year.
