Calvin Johnson to miss Pro Bowl

The Detroit Lions have confirmed that Calvin Johnson will not play in the Pro Bowl because of a knee injury.

The wide receiver was hampered throughout the season with a knee problem and will miss the annual all-star game later this month.

Despite his injury, Johnson amassed 1,492 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey will take his place.
