Vikings lead by seven in NFC North clash

The Minnesota Vikings lead by a touchdown at half time against their NFC North rivals the Detroit Lions.

Minnesota started off strongly, driving down the field with Kyle Rudolph capping off an 11-play, 75-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown reception.

Jarius Wright gained 28 yards on a end-around play that got the Vikings down the field before Teddy Bridgewater converted a fourth-down from the one-yard line to give his team a two-touchdown lead.

Detroit came back with a solid drive that ended in a field goal before Adrian Peterson made a 49-yard play that led to a Blair Walsh kick to maintain the Vikings lead.

However, Matthew Stafford found Calvin Johnson in the endzone late in the first half to close the gap to within a touchdown at the break.
