Half-Time Report: Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions level at break

The Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions score a field goal apiece to go into half time all square at 3-3 in a low-scoring NFC North showdown.

A late field goal from Matt Prater has ensured that the Detroit Lions go into the halfway stage of their NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers all square at 3-3.

The hosts went into the match with a perfect 4-0 record in front of their own fans so far this season, and they set about looking to extend that winning streak to five matches early on when Mason Crosby converted a 44-yard field goal.

The first quarter belonged to the defences, however, with neither side able to add to the score or even hold on to the ball for more than five plays at a time before being forced to punt.

The Lions, playing for the first time since sacking president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew following their International Series defeat at Wembley, struggled to get anything going on offense as Matthew Stafford's passing game and Joique Bell's ground game failed to trouble the hosts.

It was a similar story in the second quarter too, with scoring opportunities at a premium for both sides before Prater's 49-yard kick with just 17 seconds of the half remaining levelled things up.

There was no time for any further score before the end of the half as the two rivals went into the break level.
