Report: Denver Broncos had no intentions of trading Peyton Manning

Broncos 'did not want rid of Manning'

The Denver Broncos had no plans to trade veteran quarterback Peyton Manning, according to reports.

The 39-year-old's place at the club was in doubt at the end of last season, as he was linked with retirement and a move to the Houston Texans.

However, NFL Media claims that, although there were conversations between the two teams, they was instigated by the Texans and the Broncos were not interested in any deal.

Manning threw 39 touchdowns last season, but the Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the playoffs.
