Manning threw two interceptions in the first half, one of which was returned for a touchdown, as the Seahawks dominated the Broncos' record-breaking offense on way to a 43-8 win.
The 37-year-old admitted after the game that his side were nowhere near good enough to win the match, but believes that Seattle deserve plenty of praise for the way they played.
"They just made more plays on defence than we did. It was probably a credit to them for forcing those plays as the offensive mistakes, so I'll give them credit for that," Manning told reporters.
Manning won a record fifth MVP award for his impressive season, but is now 1-2 in Super Bowls and 11-12 overall in the playoffs.
