And here is Wilson, holding the Super Bowl Trophy aloft. When interviewed, he made it clear that this was a true team effort, and that he was proud of his teammates tonight.

Outside linebacker Malcolm Smith is named Super Bowl XLVIII MVP. The seventh-round Draft pick had nine tackles and one interception returned for a touchdown to help his side to victory tonight. A quick look on Twitter suggests that Smith was anywhere between 100 and 250-1 to win the award pre-game tonight.

Carroll gets his hands on the trophy now. A complete revamp of this Seattle team under the head coach has seen them go from also-rans to champions in just four years.
