Denver Broncos beat Oakland Raiders for top seed in AFC

Broncos see off Raiders

The Denver Broncos have beaten the Oakland Raiders in their NFL clash.

The Broncos opened the scoring when Eric Decker caught hold of a three-yard pass from Peyton Manning, allowing Matt Prater to kick for the extra point.

Manning was involved again for the night's second touchdown as he threw from seven yards to allow Knowshon Moreno to complete the move.

The visitors made it 17-0 in the second as Prater kicked a field goal from 49 yards, before Manning bolted two separate deliveries to Demaryius Thomas to leave the score at 31-0 going into the interval.

The Broncos were unable to add to the score in the third quarter, but Prater hit a field goal in the fourth to extend the lead to 34-0.

The Raiders finally got on the scoresheet when Terrelle Pryor's pass was caught by Rod Streater for the touchdown. Pryor was at it again, this time picking out Nick Kasa with a nine-yard pass for the touchdown, but the comeback was too little too late.
