Wes Welker has said that he is "excited" to be involved in the opening game of the 2013 NFL season.
During the off-season, the wide receiver made the move to the Denver Broncos, who host the Baltimore Ravens in the first game of the new season tomorrow night.
The 32-year-old told the Broncos' website: "I've been looking forward to this one for a while. And being in the kickoff classic, I'm definitely excited about it.
"I think the practice that we had at the stadium just went to show me how loud that stadium can be. Playing here in the past, I knew how tough it was to play at this stadium. I expect nothing different Thursday night.
"I think there's always work to be done but I'm pretty happy with where we're at and the game plan going into it. I think we're all pretty confident with where we're at. Now we just have to go out there and execute it on the field."
Welker spent the last six seasons with the New England Patriots, recording in excess of 1,000 receiving yards per season five times.
