Peyton Manning not fixated on record

Manning not fixated on record

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has insisted that the most important thing this weekend is beating the San Francisco 49ers.

The veteran signal-caller is currently on 506 career touchdown passes, just two behind Brett Favre's NFL record of 508.

"I think we've concentrated on important things; we've had two good wins coming off a bye week," Manning said, ESPN reports.

"That's what I've concentrated on, kind of doing whatever it takes to win. I don't feel like it's been a distraction."

Tight end Jacob Tamme echoed Manning's thoughts by insisting that the focus for the team is on defeating the 49ers, who are 4-2 so far this season.
