Ronnie Hillman has said that he wants to be starting for the Denver Broncos in the opening game of the 2013 NFL season.

The 21-year-old faces competition for a place in the team from four-year veteran Knowshon Moreno and rookie Montee Ball.

The running back told The Denver Post: "Come the opener, I want to be the guy back there. I can't lie. I want it to be me and I'm pushing to be that guy.

"I know it's about production, that I have to produce to be in there.That's how they'll decide, who's producing."

Hillman had 83 carries in the 2012 season, rushing for 330 yards and scoring one touchdown.
