Clark prepared to help in Clady's absence

Chris Clark has said that he is not trying to replace Ryan Clady while filling in for the injured Denver Broncos tackle.

Clark will take the place of the 27-year-old, who is reportedly being considered for the injured reserved designated to return list, while he recovers from a Lisfranc injury.

He told the team's website: "I'm just going to prepare the same way and do things the way it should be done. It's not about filling a guy's shoes for me. It's about me creating my legacy or whatever, just helping the team the best way I can, doing my job.

"You get a chance to learn different things, snap counts, different things like that, and learn [quarterback Peyton Manning's] rhythm. Sometimes you can jump the ball before it comes out of his mouth because we know his rhythm. Getting different things like that, that definitely helps me as a tackle."

The Broncos face the Oakland Raiders on Monday.
