Denver Broncos' Julius Thomas arrested for traffic warrant

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was arrested at the end of August for failing to appear for a traffic warrant.

The club revealed last week that Thomas would be a starter this season, and this news is a blotch on his record.

"We were notified of the issue involving Julius Thomas when it occurred on August 28," the Broncos said in a statement. "It was addressed internally and is being resolved."

The Broncos face Baltimore Ravens in the NFL season opener.
