Ball expects to play "huge role" in 2014

Montee Ball has said that he expects to play a "huge role" for the Denver Broncos in the 2014 NFL season.

The running back split carries with Knowshon Moreno during his rookie season in the league, finishing the campaign with 559 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

The 23-year-old told The Denver Post: "I'm going to play a huge role in next year's success, and I'm really looking forward to it.

"Of course, obviously I have no idea what's going to happen with [Moreno, who is due to become a free agent next month] and this organisation, but I do want to be a starter, and yeah, I want the football every time.

"I think I'm going to have a great off-season, and I'm going to have a better season next year for sure."

The Broncos selected Ball in the second round of last year's Draft.
