Champ Bailey has been encouraging his younger teammates to make the most of their post-season with the Denver Broncos.
The cornerback will be taking part in his fifth playoff campaign during 14 years in the NFL.
The 34-year-old told the Broncos' website: "I think one thing I probably need to do more is just emphasise it to my teammates.
"I was young in this league at one point and my first year I made the playoffs. After that, I didn't make it for the next four years.
"These opportunities don't come by that often. I think once everybody understands that, it gives everybody else a different perspective."
Despite playing in five post-seasons, Bailey has never made it to a Super Bowl.
The Broncos are on a bye week this week, having finished as the top seed in the AFC.
