Mike Pettine "excited" to land Cleveland Browns job

Mike Pettine is confident that he can bring success to the Cleveland Browns with the current set-up at the club.

New Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine has revealed that he is "excited" to embark on a new chapter of his career, having joined the outfit from his position as Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator.

Pettine said that the set-up at the Browns is very good and that he is confident of success with the backing of the club's fans.

"So excited to be here," he told reporters in his first press conference. "The fans have remained loyal and are among the most passionate in the league.

"This franchise, if given the right leadership, is in a position to win. I want Cleveland fans to know we'll put a team on the field they can be proud of."

This is Pettine's first head coach job in the NFL.
