NFL roundup: Cleveland Browns lose on Johnny Manziel's debut

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Saturday's pre-season games in the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns were beaten in their opening pre-season game as Johnny Manziel made his debut for the team against the Detroit Lions.

The quarterback completed seven of his 11 passes for 63 yards, while current starter Brian Hoyer had six completions for 92 yards

Rookie Detroit wide receiver Corey Fuller scored the only touchdown of the game from a Kellen Moore pass in the fourth quarter to give the Lions the win.

The Arizona Cardinals shut out the Houston Texans in their first game of the pre-season.

Quarterback Carson Palmer completed all five of his passes in a brief appearances for 82 yards and a touchdown as the Cardinals piled on 17 points in the opening quarter.

Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled on his Texans debut, completing only six of his 14 attempts for 55 yards, as well as throwing two interceptions.

New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings scored a 73-yard touchdown to help his team defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Howard Jones helped the Steelers to a three-point lead during the fourth quarter, but the charge from Jennings put the Giants ahead late on.

Jackie Battle ran in a touchdown with just over five minutes to spare to give the Tennessee Titans a win over the Green Bay Packers.

Bishop Sankey and Shonn Greene also had touchdowns for the Titans as the Packers rested the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy.
