Rob Chudzinski "excited" by Josh Gordon stay

Cleveland Browns coach Rob Chudzinski is "excited" by the prospect of being able to continue coaching Josh Gordon after the 22-year-old was not traded before Tuesday's deadline.

Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski has revealed that he is "excited" to continue working with wide receiver Josh Gordon.

Gordon's future had been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that the Browns were open to trading the 22-year-old before yesterday afternoon's deadline.

However, Chudzinski insists that they always wanted Gordon to stay with the team and he is now looking forward to helping the young receiver improve.

"I'm excited Josh is part of our team. He's here. I like the progress he's made as a player and the strides that he's made and [I'm] looking forward to continued improvement on his part. We want him here, and he's here," Chudzinski told reporters.

Gordon has also spoken of his relief at not being traded away from Cleveland.
