Alabama Crimson Tide doctor: 'Dee Milliner will make training camp'

Dee Milliner's college doctor has said that the cornerback has no injury worries ahead of the NFL training camp.

Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Dee Milliner will be fit for the NFL training camp, according to team doctor Lyle Cain Jr.

The possible top-10 draft pick's doctor said that the cornerback had only a "relatively small labral tear" and that such an injury is less of a problem for a defensive player.

"I saw him last week at the Alabama spring game," Cain told NFL.com. "He was doing well in his rehab, all of his motion was back, his strength has come back. If any doctor examined him right now, they'll think he has a normal shoulder.

"We talked about [undergoing surgery] before the combine and I gave him the timetable. He wanted to show people he could run and to him, running the time that he ran, it was a huge factor for him. Teams talked to him, examined him, they know the shoulder is not going to be a problem.

"It'd be more of a concern if he was an offensive lineman. At his position, a posterior labrum tear will heal just fine. I don't think there's any long-term concerns about his shoulder."

Early predictions have put Milliner as the Cleveland Browns' first-round pick, which is sixth overall.
