Marvin Lewis signs new Cincinnati Bengals contract

Bengals keep coach Lewis

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have handed coach Marvin Lewis a new one-year contract.

Lewis's previous deal was set to expire at the end of next season, and doubts have emerged over his future due to his 0-6 playoff record, which included their defeat to the Indianapolis Colts last year.

However, his new contract means that he will be in charge until at least 2016.

Lewis took charge of the Ohio team in 2003.
