Eddie Royal reaches Chicago Bears agreement

The Chicago Bears have reached an agreement with receiver Eddie Royal, although no details of the deal have been released yet.

Royal recorded 778 yards and seven touchdowns on 62 receptions for the San Diego Chargers last season, but will now face a new challenge.

The 28-year-old is also reunited with quarterback Jay Cutler, the pair having previously played together with the Denver Broncos.

As a rookie in 2008, Royal caught 91 passes for 980 yards and five touchdowns with Cutler as his signal-caller.

The Bears had made adding a receiver to their roster a priority after they agreed to trade Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets last week.
