Chicago Bears sign linebacker Mason Foster

Linebacker Mason Foster chooses the Chicago Bears over the San Francisco 49ers, signing a one-year contract.

The Chicago Bears have announced that they have signed linebacker Mason Foster.

Foster left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the end of last season after four years with the Florida team.

The 26-year-old was also a target for the San Francisco 49ers, but he has settled on John Fox's side and put pen to paper on a one-year deal today.

Foster has made 341 tackles and six sacks in his NFL career.
