Aaron Kromer apologises to Jay Cutler

Chicago Bears offensive co-ordinator Aaron Kromer makes a tearful apology to the team for criticising quarterback Jay Cutler to a reporter.

Chicago Bears offensive co-ordinator Aaron Kromer addressed the team on Monday to make a tearful apology for criticising quarterback Jay Cutler to a reporter.

Kromer told the players that he should not have spoken outside of the locker room and that he did so in the heat of emotion.

"I said what I had to say to the players," Kromer said Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

While he denied that a section of a report stating that the Bears had "buyer's remorse" over Cutler's new contract came from him, he admitted to being frustrated with the signal-caller's game management skills.

Cutler and Kromer are scheduled to meet with the media on Friday, with the latter also admitting to saying that the quarterback's bad run plays had hurt the team this season.
