Trent Edwards joins Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears have snapped up veteran quarterback Trent Edwards to replace the recently injured Matt Blanchard.

Edwards joins the Bears following the arrival of Jordan Palmer and will challenge him for a potential third QB slot on the roster.

The QB has previously played for Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles, and has racked up 33 starts across five seasons.

Edwards made two appearances for the Eagles last season.
