Jermon Bushrod talks up new teammate Jared Allen

Chicago Bears' Jermon Bushrod believes that Jared Allen will become a big player for the team in 2014.

Chicago Bears left tackle Jermon Bushrod has admitted that he is glad defensive end Jared Allen is now on the same team as him, having played against him twice last season.

Bushrod said that Allen has an excellent commitment to studying the game, which ensures that he will quickly understand the best way to stop a particular opponent on game day.

"He' a relentless player," Bushrod told the Bears' official website. "He knows how to rush the passer. He's been in this league for a long time and has had a lot of success. When you play a guy like that, you have to study him as hard as possible because he studies his opponent. He's very smart and he just gets after it.

"Every time I play him it's the same thing. He just tries to find a way and he doesn't stop, whether he's trying to go outside, through you or trying to make an inside move."

The Bears did not qualify for the playoffs last season, having finished with an 8–8 record.
