CJ Spiller: 'My ankle is definitely healing'

Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller believes that he is nearing a 100% recovery from the ankle injury which has hampered him so far this season.

CJ Spiller has said that he is "definitely healing" as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

The Buffalo Bills running back has been battling with the complaint for the majority of the season, restricting him to 351 rushing yards and one touchdown so far in 2013.

The 26-year-old told reporters: "I can tell that it's definitely healing. I haven't had any setback, so I'm just going to continue to do what I do and get treatment and take it day by day. It's responding well.

"I definitely wasn't 100% [last Sunday] It's all about having that confidence to cut off it and that's the biggest hurdle I face each week going into the game. It definitely felt better than last week, but I still feel like I'm not exploding like I normally do.

"It's getting better and better each week and as long as it continues to do that I'll be fine. There are a couple of more hurdles that I have to get over, but I can definitely see the finish line of me getting back to 100% quickly."

The Bills face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
