NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has urged the Buffalo Bills to find a new stadium location so that they remain a "viable" option for prospective buyers.
The franchise are currently in the process of finding new owners, but Goodell has stated that a new stadium may be a key factor in business being done.
Although their Ralph Wilson Stadium is undergoing $130m (£76.7m) worth of renovations this off-season, the arena still lacks the facilities of most others in the NFL.
Goodell told reporters: "I believe they need somewhere else, yes. We said in 2012, when they entered into a new lease, that this is really a short-term solution.
"We need to find the right long-term solution that's good for the community and can help the Bills to continue to be successful in Western New York."
The Bills' lease with Erie County prevents them from moving until early 2020, at which point the new ownership could potentially relocate to another city.
Goodell has previously expressed his desire for the Bills to remain in Buffalo.
