The Buffalo Bills will reportedly use their franchise tag to keep safety Jairus Byrd with the team if they cannot agree a contract extension.

The Buffalo Bills have reportedly decided to place their franchise tag on Jairus Byrd if they cannot agree a long-term contract extension with him.

The safety also spent last season playing under the tag, making 48 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and four interceptions in the process.

The Cleveland Browns have been linked to a move for the 27-year-old.
