McCoy leaves Bills practice with soreness

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy left practice earlier today with soreness in his hamstring.

The 27-year-old has been hampered by the injury since the pre-season, and ran for just 41 yards on 17 carries against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.

Bills head coach Rex Ryan told reporters that the team decided to allow him to rest and believes that a fit McCoy will be key against the New England Patriots this weekend.

Ryan told reporters: "He just felt sore so we just backed him out of it. I don't even want to think that way [on missing out on Sunday] but like I said I'm not giving up on McCoy playing."

McCoy joined the AFC East team from the Philadelphia Eagles in an off-season trade that saw Kiko Alonso head in the opposite direction.
