Pitta returns to Ravens practice

Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta featured in practice for the first time this season on Wednesday.

Pitta had 61 catches for 669 yards and seven touchdowns last year to help the franchise win the Super Bowl, but the fourth-year fractured and dislocated his hip early in training camp and has been missing ever since.

He told the Ravens' official site: "It feels awesome to be able to get back and be in meetings with the guys and be able to hit the field a little bit. I'm going to take it slow though and make sure I can integrate myself back in, and I'm feeling good.

"I had no setbacks in my rehab and treatment and everything has been going well. We've been working hard and I'm excited to get a little taste of football again. I stayed true to my rehab and did everything that I've been asked to do."

The Ravens are in third spot in a tight AFC North division with a 4-6 record.
