Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma is training with the Atlanta Falcons.
Vilma was released by the Saints after 10 years of service back in February, and has remained without a team ever since.
However, the Falcons have taken him on a trial period following a season-ending Achilles injury to Sean Weatherspoon last week.
Vilma himself missed all but one game for the Saints last season, having suffered a knee injury.
The Falcons have Joplo Bartu, Paul Worrilow and Prince Shembo on the roster in Weatherspoon's position, but Vilma would offer extra experience.
