Atlanta Falcons not fooled by Cleveland Browns plan

Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith insists that he will not fall into the trap of believing that the Cleveland Browns will ease Josh Gordon back in to their offense.

Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith has insisted that his team will not be fooled by claims from the Cleveland Browns that they will ease Josh Gordon back into their offense.

Gordon was the best receiver in the NFL in 2013, but the 23-year-old has not featured so far this season due to a 10-game suspension for failing an NFL drug test.

However, Smith believes that he will become an integral part of the offense immediately rather than be slowly integrated in as claimed by Cleveland.

"Absolutely I do," Smith said, according to ESPN.

"They've stated that they want to get him out on the field as quickly as possible. And he's a game-changer. He's a guy that with the ball in his hands, he can make plays. So we're anticipating that we're going to get a full dose of him this week."

Smith also hinted that he could deploy cornerback Desmond Trufant in a possible shadow role on Sunday in order to deal with Gordon's threat.
