Abraham: 'Ankle injury won't keep me out'

John Abraham has said that he will not miss the NFC championship game for the Atlanta Falcons, despite carrying an ankle injury.

The defensive end first sustained a sprain in the final regular season game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, before being unable to finish the match with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The 34-year-old told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "Oh, yeah, you know me, you can't keep me out of that game."

Head coach Mike Smith has said that he expects Abraham to be able to practise with the Falcons this week, ahead of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
