Rashad Johnson: 'I hope to play this weekend'

Rashad Johnson has said that he is expecting to play this weekend, despite losing part of one of fingers.

The Arizona Cardinals safety discovered that the top of his middle finger had become detached when removing his glove following a punt-coverage play against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.

The 27-year-old told ESPN: "Yes, in my gut, I think I'll play. But it will really come down to getting cleared by the doctors. They're going to want to make sure everything is OK."

The Cardinals face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
