This Morning is reportedly attempting to recruit new producers to work on the troubled daytime show.

ITV is reportedly looking to hire new producers to work on This Morning amid ongoing questions about the show's future.

The long-running daytime programme has dominated the news agenda for the last few weeks after it emerged that host Phillip Schofield had lied about having an affair with a much younger male colleague several years ago.

Schofield will no longer serve as a presenter on the show, while his long-time co-host Holly Willoughby intends to continue, but questions continue to be asked about the extent to which ITV investigated the initial allegations in 2020 and how the young man involved was dealt with.

According to The Sun, ITV sent out a job advert five days ago calling for "talented and experienced" producers to work on the show.

Candidates are required to have "strong creative and editorial judgement and thrive on the buzz of working within a live broadcasting environment" and the "ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and within a budget".

As well as all of his ITV work, Schofield has also been dropped as an ambassador for youth charity The Prince's Trust and had his own range of branded wines discontinued.
