Filming on next year's edition of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is reportedly dealt a curveball after several celebrities quit before it begins.

Filming on the next edition of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has reportedly been dealt a curveball just before it is due to begin.

The Channel 4 show, which puts celebs through an SAS-style survival course in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, is typically filmed a year in advance.

This year's series was filmed last autumn and has yet to even air, but production on the 2024 edition is already about to get underway in New Zealand.

According to The Sun, however, several of the celebs who were signed up to take part have withdrawn at the eleventh hour due to scheduling conflicts or failing fitness tests.

"It's been huge behind-the-scenes headaches for bosses after a string of celebs pulled out at the last minute," a source told the newspaper.

"The stars fly out next week to go into quarantine for five days ahead of filming beginning in early July, but in the last couple of weeks bosses have had to scramble to replace several famous faces who couldn't go ahead.

"It created a frenzy behind the scenes as they thought they had the cast locked and it meant they had to find replacements really quickly.

"It's been really down to the wire, but they've managed to find some great celebs who could step in and were up for the challenge and they're confident they've got another great cast."

This year's series, which features the likes of Matt Hancock and James Argent as participants, is due to air on Channel 4 later this year.
