Aussie TV presenter Jesse Baird, 26, found dead after suspected police murder
Australian TV presenter Jesse Baird is found dead after a suspected murder by a serving police officer.

Australian TV presenter Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Luke Davies have been found dead more than a week after they disappeared.

Serving police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon - an alleged ex-boyfriend of Baird - was arrested last week and charged with double murder but initially refused to co-operate with the investigation.

Speaking today, police said that Lamarre-Condon had changed tune and led them to the location of the two bodies, hidden under rocks at a property in the town of Bungonia, four hours south of Sydney.

The officer, a former celebrity blogger, is alleged to have shot the couple dead at their home last Monday, February 19 before concealing their bodies in surf bags and hiring a van to help dispose of them.

NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said: "I'd like to pass on my condolences to the Davies and Baird families, their friends and the LBGTQI+ communities, not just in NSW but across Australia, where they were based and have many friendships.

"I'd like to thank all the detectives that have worked hard on this investigation tirelessly around the clock."

Baird was the resident red carpet reporter for the now-defunct talkshow Studio 10 and also served as an AFL goal umpire, while Davies worked as a flight attendant for Qantas.
